Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains what FOMO Alerts stores when you use the Chrome extension, the Telegram bot (@FOMOALERTSOFFICIAL_Bot) or fomoalerts.family, why we store it, who can see it, and how to remove it. The service is run by FOMO Alerts. To contact us, use our Discord (see the end of this page).

The short version
  • We never see your Fomo password, login token, wallet, private keys or seed phrase, and we can't trade for you.
  • We store what's needed to send your alerts: a random id for your browser, your Telegram chat, your Fomo username, and the alerts you set.
  • Your Fomo username and profile picture are shown publicly in the "hive" on fomoalerts.family, unless you switch that off.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data.

1. What we store, and why

  • A random browser id. The server creates it when the extension or the website first connects. It ties your alerts and Telegram link to your browser.
  • Telegram details. For each Telegram account you link: the chat id and its @username or first name. We use these to send you alerts and to show your linked accounts in the settings.
  • Your Fomo account. Your Fomo user id and username, and whether your account was referred (the referral code and the referrer's username). We use these to know which positions are yours, to decide free access with code ALERTSFAMILY, and for the hive.
  • Your Fomo profile picture. The link to it, plus a copy of the image on our server. We use it only for the hive (see section 2).
  • Your alerts. For each alert: the coin (address, chain, symbol, logo), your levels, the price when you set it, and, if available, your entry price and position size. This is needed to check prices and to write the alert message. We keep alerts that were sent so you can see them in Fomo and in Telegram (the last 200 per user).
  • Your card settings. Your quick % buttons, so they're the same on every device.
  • The website demo. How many of the 5 demo messages each Telegram account has used.
  • Payments. If you pay the one-time $9.99, we store the transaction hash, network, token, amount and time, and which FOMO Alerts account it unlocked. For a transfer we can't match to an account automatically, we also keep the sending wallet address until it's claimed. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.
  • Your country, for the roadmap. When you open the roadmap on fomoalerts.family, our own server looks up which country your IP address belongs to (with the free DB-IP country database, no outside service) and turns the 3D Earth toward it. Only the two-letter country code goes to your browser, and it isn't stored.
  • Server logs. Our web server logs IP addresses, times and requested pages, for security and to fix problems. We also count requests per IP address for one hour to stop abuse.

The extension reads your Fomo positions in your own browser. They stay there, except for the details of the coins you set alerts on.

2. The hive (public)

fomoalerts.family shows the Fomo username and profile picture of people who use FOMO Alerts, in a moving "hive" in the background of the page. Anyone visiting the site can see them.

  • The hive is on by default.
  • To switch it off, open FOMO Alerts in Fomo's account menu and turn off Show me in the hive. You disappear from the site within a few minutes, and we delete the copy of your picture.
  • You can also ask us on Discord to remove you.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

  • To provide the service you asked for: alerts, Telegram messages, your settings.
  • Our legitimate interests: keeping the service secure and preventing abuse, and showing the community hive. You can object to the hive at any time by switching it off.
  • Your consent: where the law requires it.

4. Who else receives data

  • Telegram: alert messages are delivered through Telegram, under Telegram's own privacy policy.
  • Hetzner: our server is hosted by Hetzner in Germany (EU).
  • DexScreener: we ask DexScreener for coin prices. These requests contain only coin addresses, nothing about you.
  • Fomo: our server downloads your profile picture from Fomo's picture host.
  • jsDelivr: the website loads its chart library from the jsDelivr CDN, so your browser connects to jsDelivr when you open the site.
  • Google: the extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store.
  • Alchemy: to see payments arrive, we read the blockchain through Alchemy. Those requests contain our own wallet addresses and transaction hashes, not your name or account.

We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account, Telegram and alert data: for as long as you use FOMO Alerts, or until you ask us to delete it. Sent-alert history is limited to the last 200 alerts per user.
  • Your hive picture: deleted as soon as you switch the hive off.
  • Server logs: kept for up to 14 days.

6. Cookies and storage

We use no tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics.

  • When you click Connect Telegram in the demo, the website saves your browser id in your browser (localStorage and one cookie, __Host-fa_client). This keeps you linked, and lets the extension take over the link after you install it, so you don't have to link Telegram twice.
  • The extension saves its settings in your browser's extension storage.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to object to how we use it. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Many things you can do yourself:

  • send /unlink to the bot;
  • remove Telegram accounts in the FOMO Alerts settings;
  • switch off the hive;
  • uninstall the extension and clear the site data of fomoalerts.family.

For everything else, including deleting all your data, contact us on Discord.

8. Children

FOMO Alerts is not meant for anyone under 18.
